About O’Shea & Co.
Bespoke suits, cut by hand and made to last a lifetime.
O’Shea & Co. isn’t a fashion label. It’s one tailor, a good pair of shears, and a family trade that nearly ended and found its way back.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
O’Shea & Co. is a one-man bespoke workshop. Every garment is drafted, cut, and finished by hand by Thomas O’Shea: two- and three-piece suits, sport coats, overcoats, and wedding and black-tie wear, for men and women.
Each commission starts with a conversation, then twenty-seven measurements, a pattern cut for one person, a handful of fittings, and more than 100 hours of handwork. Every piece is built with a hidden inlay so it can be let out, altered, and repaired for years to come.
“Tommy worked tirelessly to create a work of art that gave me so much confidence to wear on my wedding day.”
— Charlie Ye, Bespoke Wedding Suiting Client
ABOUT THE TAILOR
I’m Tommy. Cutter, tailor, and the fifth generation of my family to work with cloth and shears. I grew up in Atlanta, played music, thrifted my clothes, and found my way into menswear long before I knew tailoring ran in my family.
The trade goes back five generations, to Limerick, Ireland. In the early 1850s, my great-great-great-grandfather Thomas O’Shea came to the city from North Cork in his early twenties and went to work at Peter Tait’s Limerick Clothing Factory, one of the biggest clothing makers in the world, most likely as a cutter. For four generations, my family lived within a couple of blocks of that factory, off Lord Edward Street.
The craft came home with them. My great-grandfather, William “Bill” O’Shea, made his own suits, and so did my grandfather, Eddie. Then the line broke. My grandfather died when my dad was eleven, before he could teach him anything, and the craft went quiet. I didn’t know any of this until I was nineteen and already working in menswear, when my dad told me we came from tailors.
Not long after, I moved to Monaghan, Ireland, to train under master tailor Rory Duffy, learning to draft, cut, and build a coat by hand. Coming home was harder than leaving. For a while I put the shears down altogether. Then I made a jacket for someone I love, and it all came back.
Today I take on commissions one client at a time. Every piece I make is meant to be worn, altered, repaired, and handed down.

STYLE
Classic, not costume. Clean lines, honest shoulders, and cloth that will still look right in twenty years. Every suit is cut for the way you actually stand and move, not for a mannequin.
APPROACH
It starts with a conversation about your life and what the garment is for. Then twenty-seven measurements, a pattern drafted for you alone, and fittings until it’s right. Lapels are padded by hand and buttonholes worked by eye, more than 100 hours of handwork in every suit.
CLIENTELE
Grooms and wedding parties, professionals who want one suit done properly, and anyone, men and women alike, who would rather own one thing made to last than ten things made to replace. Clients across Athens, Atlanta, and the Southeast.

LET’S WORK TOGETHER
Every commission starts with a conversation. Tell Tommy about the occasion, the cut, and the cloth you have in mind, and he’ll walk you through what it takes to make it.
